Led by The Nature Conservancy in Brazil (TNC-Brazil), this consortium has IEB and the Coordination of Indigenous Organizations in the Brazilian Amazon (COIAB) as partners.
The Indigenous Landscapes Consortium receives support from USAID and its main objective is to strengthen indigenous organizations in the Brazilian Amazon, enabling them to influence public policies and make informed decisions regarding the management of indigenous territories and surrounding areas.
Through its activities, the Consortium hopes to stimulate the active participation of indigenous organizations in public policies for development and biodiversity conservation, and in the management of Amazonian landscapes within mosaics of indigenous territories and protected areas, notably in Northeastern Roraima and Oiapoque, in Northern Amapá. It is also planned to arrange the exchange of experiences and lessons learned between mosaics and with the general public.
A partir do ano 2000, o Instituto iniciou um trabalho voltado à organização e publicação de títulos de relevância para a área socioambiental, que dificilmente encontrariam outros canais para a sua publicação e difusão.
